Early College Teaching Seminars
Who Should Come
The seminars are designed to meet the needs of teachers individually or as part of a school team who work with students and with high school-early college programs. The seminars are also useful to principals, college administrators working in partnership with early college high schools, and educators and policy makers interested in learning about alternative programs for adolescents.
- Schools are encouraged to send teams
- Each school team should include the school leader and two to four teachers, ideally a mix of high school and college faculty
- Enrollment will be limited to fifty participants
“The workshop far exceeded my expectations. It was very beneficial to find out
more about early college and having the chance to meet educators from all over the country
who are involved in this movement. I sat in on a Writing and Thinking session with Dr. O'Dwyer,
and it was refreshing to see how engaged her students were. I later had an opportunity to chat
with her about the techniques and strategies she employed with her students and was very
impressed with how she respected her students and was in kind respected by them. I thank
all of your staff for their willingness to share their considerable knowledge, techniques
and strategies with us.”
